Taifur Rahman

Taifur Rahman obtained MSc and PhD in Organic Chemistry from University of Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kumamoto University (Japan), respectively. He worked for Japan Science and Technology Corporation (JST) and Japanese Ministry of Industry-sponsored projects in Osaka. He was appointed as Singapore-MIT Fellow to work in Lab-on-a-chip Technology in Singapore National University. For the past five years he had been with Queen's University of Belfast where he participated in several European and Nationally funded projects. He has a diverse research interests ranging from synthetic organic chemistry, flow-chemistry to 'smart' nanomaterials and  polymeric motifs- useful for analytical chemistry and biotechnology. He authored in 25 peer-reviewed international journals, gave talks in several international conferences and co-authored two book chapters on process chemistry.
