Claire Gillen received her degree in Chemistry with Forensic Analysis from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2015. As an undergraduate student she undertook research on vibrational spectroscopy of household materials as well as explosive materials. She is currently studying for her PhD in chemistry, also at Queen’s University, Belfast. Her current research is in the field of cancer theranositics with particular focus on metal/organic hybrid nanoparticles.
